My wife thought that she was authorized to use deadly force on her visor. What do I do? It's lost its snap. I hung up it with a tiny bungee. How does the wiring disconnect? Parts source? Thanks very much all.

PS I'm having bad luck these days with headlight mishap & dipstick, but parking in NYC is even more fun -trash men drag leaking bags across my hood -open the hood and there are rib bones and a napkin from an animal dining on my plug cover. I'll won't be parking in front of restaurants anymore.

    You sure have some cultured rats there in NYC! Never knew one to use a napkin before!! At least they weren't feasting on your plug wires!!!

    Alsa, it cannot be repaired, just replaced. I would call Erie Volvo for a replacement. The electrical connection is stuffed in the headliner, you will see it when you remove the visor.

    LOL. You were lucky to find a place to park!

      Thanks, I didn't see any connection, just a wire disappearing into an abyss. headliner removal? (shake) I knew it was going to be a full replacement fix -that's why I'm going to have to get some flowers or something :)
      but Erie Vovo is a good idea -thanks
      Parking is actually not all that bad, just can't park under light posts because of pigeons, not in front of garbage bags and now no restaurants -I'll refrain from posting further restrictions as they arise -and that's why I can envy a '93's paint job.
      I call mine a constellation of dings -great for resale

        The plug for the wires might be behind the center light cover. On my 1998, the two light covers popped off to reveal a torx screw behind each to lower the plastic. The 1993 might be different.

        Two weeks ago, I watched an 850 from Maryland circle the block about 10 times waiting for a parking spot on a Friday night. Once parked, that 850 didn't move until Sunday afternoon. That was on 28th and 6th. I talked to another couple from Ohio that drove to the NJ airport and parked there, not wanting to negotiate the traffic and the cost of a parking lot in Manhattan. She also kept pigeon marks to a minimum that way :)
