The problem had started this week on my 2000 XC with 45,ooo Kms. The rear windshield washer just doesn't want to squirt after several attempts. I can hear the motor pumping but nothing comes out. However, holding in the button on the lever for a while (and worring about blowing the motor) the washer fluid comes out.. Then if I wait the next day, same story happens. Is there an easy fix to this that I can do myself or that should be brought to the dealer's attention? Would the nozzle have to be replaced already?

You could have a clogged check valve, it is about 1" before the nozzle, pull down the plastic trim and you will see it wrapped in black tape. You might pick one up at a dealer before you go to check it out.
