Radio Code S70 1999

I had my car in the garage this week to replace the voltage regulator and when I went to leave I saw that the radio code needed to be reentered, so I tried the one I thought was it, but it didn't take and then one of the mechanics came out and tried two more times and it locked me out. I now have it sitting with key on in position I for two hours as it says in the manual...but I am worried what if I don't have the right code? Any suggestions how to get my radio back on? Thank you!

Stop by or call Volvo parts department, give them your VIN and or radio serial number, and they will tell you the code for free. Then write it down and put it in your glove box.

I know this is true for many of the japanese models. When the car is assembled. The assembly folks hide the code sticker on the driver side under the dash somewhere. I have found them when I need for acura, honda a camry. Possibly this is also a practice with volvo.

a lot of the times I have found codes written on top of the radios if you pop it out it might be there.. I always do that to mine..I also usually write the code on the visor for safety.. the likelyhood of having a volvo radio ripped off is next to nil in my opinion.
