OEM Bumper for XC

Hi,
As I mentioned in earlier post, wife`s 03 XC needs rear bumper replaced due to parking lot "pranger"(other driver at fault).
My question is how do we ensure that new bumper is genuine Volvo & not some offshore knockoff? Other than picking up a bumper from Volvo dealer ourselves, what precautions can one take? Is this even an issue?

    It's a non issue. The plastic will not rust and is not critical to your safety.

    The bumper cover comes in two flavors, primered or prepainted to match. If you are having it painted, it must be a plasticized paint, not just "regular" body paint.
