I have a 1994 850 that for some reason on occastion as I am driving shuts down (has happened 3 times in the past four years) , then after I pull over will start right back up. No codes returned. Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.

Same thing with my 1993. It was the fuel pump relay. Five minute fix. See link below.

Are there any trouble codes? Is the fuel pump working after it shuts down and before you turn the key to off? When is the last time you changed the fuel filter?

Tough to say....you're not giving much info. Coonditions? Hot/cold, rainy/dry, winter/summer, freeway/city, full tank/not full tank, high altitude/sea level, etc etc etc. Problems usually don't stay so intermittant for four years without getting worse. Maybe the ignition switch?
