emergency break job V70-XC70 1999

I'm in he field and need to do an emergency front break job oAt this particular moment I do not know how to get the break shoes off the front in the model or the 850's. can anyone give me some insight?

You will be leaving the rotor in place, so forget that part. I pry the spring clip off with a screwdriver. Putting it back is a real bear.

If you have any brake grease, grease the slide pins, otherwise, when you get back home, remove the slides and clean them until they are shiney and grease them up then.

Use a wire or strong string to keep the caliper from hanging in the brake line. I fount that the caliper can also rest on the suspension A arm.
