Oil Change S60 2004

Looks like it's a lot easier to change the oil on my 850's than the S60 I picked up 6 months ago.

Is buying the tool to remove the filter the best or only way to go.
Haven't been underneath the car yet. What does the tool actually do. Thanks.

    What tool? You can get it with some oil filter plyers but oil filter cap wrench is only $7.95 at IPD and well worth it. I"m not familiar with the 850 but the S60 is pretty easy. You can get to the filter lying on the ground on the passenger side of the engine compartment and reaching in - no need to get under the car really.
