Oil blowing on engine V70-XC70 1998

1998 V70 XC AWD LIGHT TURBO, IS BLOWING OIL ONTO MANIFOLD FAN AD ALLOVER ENGINE COMPARTMENT. SMOKE IS COMING OUT OF DIPSTICK TUBE AND OIL FILLER CAP. CAN'T FIND WHERE IT IS COMING FROM NO HOSES OR ANY WHERE ELSE APPEAR TO BE LEAKING. COULD IT BE PCV BEING CLOGGED BUILDING UP PRESSURE?? IF SO WHERE IS THE PCV OR EQUVILANT PART.

Please use lower case letters next time.

Your oil breather system is plugged. If you don't fix it now, it will ruin your engine, at the least your engine seals will blow and that gets very expensive.

FCP Groton has a "kit" to replace the breather system. The intake manifold must be removed to do this. A good DIYer can do this in about 5 hours, a reptuable mechanic can do it in 3.

    Get it fixed, now.

      Klaus,

Thanks for the information. I have one other question, how do I releive the pressure on the fuel injection system so I can start dismatelling the intake manifold from the engine to get at the falme trap.

Number one, there will not be any fuel pressure once the engine is cold. But, when doubt, there is a schrader valve at the end of the fuel injector rail. Just push on the valve to releave any fuel pressure, keep a rag handy.
