V70 missing at idle V70-XC70 1998

My '98 V70, n/a, 255k, has had a slight miss at idle for a while. The car still runs fine and is getting 26-29 mpg. If sitting a while in traffic (infrequent occurrance) I get the CEL and codes for engine misfire -- the most recent were P0300 random triple misfire & P0303 cylinder 3 misfire detected. In the last 20k or so I replaced spark plugs and wires, replaced injector seals, checked intake for leaks (throttle body & accordian tube), checked carbon canister check valve, and checked dist cap & rotor. Since 200k I replaced dist cap & rotor & oil venting system. Still runs slightly rough at idle and gives occasional CEL for engine misfire. Any ideas for other air leak paths or causes for the misfire?

Those are good volvo plugs, right? If they are Bosh, they have already passed their life span and need to be replaced. Just let you car idle until it starts to misfire and pull #3. It should be very dirty. Check the gap and the center electrode for wear.

      Hi,

The coil packs themselfs sometimes fail under the extreme heat, and if they are original, they can start to cause misfire.

      Good Luck!!
