Sorry about the previous post with nothing on it. My message disappeared as I posted.

When did Volvo make the changeover to the supposedly newer AWD system? Friend of mine is looking to buy a 2002 AWD wagon but wants to avoid one with the older AWD system and bevel gear problems. Are there any known issues with the 2002 model? Dick

Year 2003 and up was delivered with awd system from haldex.
