Looking at 99 S80 T6 S80 1999

So due to some other factors I find myself looking at a much newer than normal Volvo for my girlfriend.

We've located a 1999 S80 T6 w/ 130,000 Km at a fairly reasonable price and in good order. It's recently had a new computer and has gone through 2 throttle bodies..

Have these cars been mostly sorted out now? Or am I inviting a world of expensive pain?

Thanks for any and all input.

Andrew

Make sure your purchase budget has $1K for "incidentals" Purchase low $5-7K I've see good-looking but bad condition S80s for $10-13K I like my 1999 but it was a single owner well cared for 100K mi trade that still needed $500+ worth of TLC.
It is the nicest Volvo I have ever owned, smooth powerful Big as a house. but often I wonder if i shouldn't have purchased the V40 1.8t "charisma" chassis.
More bullet-proof, tossable and (not much) better fuel economy.

Dave

The 1999 S80 will require a sizable checkbook for repairs. The ETM has already been replaced twice? And a new ECU? The electrics in the T6 are terrible and cannot be fixed at home.
I suggest you keep looking...

The 164 has a new home, all I am left with are a 95 854T and a 98 V70R :)
