Drivers Door replace 850 1994

I need to replace the Drivers door.
It has the original remote locking system.
Any sites or tips to make the job go easy.

    Paul,
    To make it just a little easier, use a jack stand under the open door to help with the weight. A small towel between the jackstand and door will keep it from scratching. The door weighs a ton! Be careful.

    Taking the entire door off of an 800 series car is about as easy as it gets. Roll the window down, remove/loosen the two hinge pin retainin screws (they are external torx and mounted right on the outside of the hinge), remove the screw that mounts the door stay to the body (under the rubber boot and it is internal torx), remove the tiny torx screw in the harness connector and rotate the connector counter clockwise until it comes completely loose. Now lift the door assembly up and off.

    While I have pulled many, many doors off of 800 series cars, I have never replaced one so have never had to screw with adjusting the hinges to get it to sit in the opening perfectly. Good luck with that.
