Need help new to forum S70

First of all hello to all. here is my problem i am currently an irritated owner of a 99 Acura TL after 180k miles it is falling apart needing new CV joints and a new a.c compressor and cat. converter so gas mileage is awful. but here is where i am really at a lady that i work with has a 2000 Volvo S70 SE with low miles and since im in school again i need a car that will do better on gas. What i am getting at is she wants 200 for it but it needs new headlights, hood, LT fender and bumper cover, but i dont know exactly what else it has no hood or LT fender. her daughter rear-ended a hummer but she was an exclusion on the policy so they would not pay out and they cannot afford it. can someone possibly help me with pictures or a list of what i will need there is no frame damage the radiator did not even break and no airbag deployment

thanks

200 hundred dollars? If it sounds too good to be true, it just might be. You said your back in school...how much time and money can you afford to fix it? If you know what your doing, it could be a great deal. How long has it been out in the elements with no hood?

Let us know what happens. Thanks.

It is hard to turn down a $200 car, especially when your car needs a little work. Call the salvage yards around your area. If you can find a hood and front fender in the same color, that would be great. I believe 1998-2000 are the same design for the front.
Just a caution, some of the anchoring points for the hood and other parts may be messed up and need careful hammering to get back to the proper position. Installing the hood is best done with 3 people, the hinge has to be exact. Plus the car alarm forr the hood is on the driver's side and the tollerance is very close.
If you know what you are doing, then get started. If not, watch out for the electronic throttle (ETM) as an ongoing trouble area - it is covered by Volvo until the year 2010.
Used parts can probably run around $500, which is what it would take to fix your current car.

well its not so much finding the parts that i need that is the problem as so much as knowing exactly what is needed i know that there is nothing to hold the headlights on as far as i can see. i had a 1999 S70 T-5 when i turned 16 but that was only for two weeks before some idiot rear ended me and threw me into an intersection where i got hit two more times so i dont really remember very well what under the hood looked like i basically need to know what i need parts wise in front of the radiator. and the car has been garaged. the main reason other than the things wrong with my car now is that it is really horrible on gas and it HAS to use premium or it gets even worse i figure this has a smaller engine and a five speed so it should do better

Go to this site: http://www.myswedishparts.com/

There is a catagory, body parts only, and when you get down to the specifics, you can view the illustration of the various componants. Like the radiator cross member which also holds the headlights, $108.15.
