Sunroof Drain V70-XC70 2002

Since my '02 XC70 is garaged, I never gave it much thought about maintaining the SunRoof Drains........
Well while vacuuming the passenger side. I noticed moisture on the underside of the mat.... Since I was bringing it in to the dealer for it's last once over. I bought her as a CPO; 100K and has 99850....
The dealer said the they were plugged... They unplugged and glued something, which I unable to figure out what?
1- Is their a procedure to keep these clean?
2- Is their a way to lift the carpet without removing the seat? It seems like if I snip the carpet from around the front seat mounting brackets, I could get the carpet out?

The dealer is not going to do you a lot of favors. The SR drains were plugged? Get a measuring cup of water and pour water into the 2 forward drains to ensure that they do leak onto the floor.
The front carpet is behind the footwell kick plates as well as the threashold. Just remove the front seat front bolts, lift it up a little and remove the carpet. Verify that it is just water, not antifreeze. If the leak is on the passenger side, it might be the AC drain that is plugged.

Any tricks getting the carpet from under the plastic on the sides?

The plastic thresh holds have to be pulled off. The forward part that goes up gets pulled back first, then the rest gets pulled up.
The carpet is a single piece, if I remember correctly, driver door to passenger door. Which means that to remove the carpet, both seats and the center console need to come out along with the kick panels.
