hard to start when hot outside despite tune up S70 1998

My car wasn't starting well, particularly when it is hot outside. So I took it in and the mechanic said it needed a tune up and timing belt change. The error code was cylinder 1 misfire.
Well as usual, it starts well if it is cold, but on hot days, it's really difficult to start. after it starts the exhasut smell like gas. But the tune up really helped my gas milage and the car runs great once it's started.
The mechanic said give the fuel system cleaner time to work, because there was a lot of carbon deposits. So I did and ran through three additional treatments.
Any way, it still is difficult to start.
I'm wondering if there is a leaky vaccum hose? Because that would be affected by hot days.

I wonder... When my 850 had those same problems it turned out to be the fuel pressure regulator leaking. There is a vacuum line from the FPR to the intake manifold and when my FPR failed, gas leaked into the vacuum line and got sucked into the intake and when I tried to start the car (about 20 second cranks) the exhaust would push out a puff of black smoke when the engine caught. Otherwise every thing else ran fine.

When the engine is warm, check the temp gauge and if it is low, you will need a new coolant temp sensor and possibly a thermostat.
