It's the head gasket. 850

I've had a bad oil leak and been trying to find it on my 850. The leak's coming from behind the coolent tube on the pass side of the car. I took off the plastic cover and found oil withe traces of antifrezze under it. The only thing that bothers me is the leak's not low enough to be the head. I'm hopeing for a camm cover leak. any thoughts on this???? thanks for your help...

I think if it is your head leaking and you can see quantities of oil and coolant you would hear the leak under compression when the engine is running.

In cold weather with a cold engine it might not be unusual to find some condensate with oil on the engine surfaces, on the dipstick, etc.

Check for positive crankcase pressure by removing the oil filler cap with the engine running and warmed up. The cap should not lift itself off the neck. If it does, oil is being forced out somewhere and you need to clean up the crank case vent and rebreathing system.
