Turn signal problem S70

Hi All,

The turn signals on the '98 S70 stay solid and don't flash. I read in the archives about a relay causing this that is related to the hazard lights. This post was regarding a V70 and not an S. I thought that it would be the same though. I'm guessing that the relay is also behind the radio.

Thanks,
Dave

Turn signal problem S70

Have had this problem on 850 and a previous volvo intermittently. Wonder if the relay is just not seated well or has corroded contacts. I don't see it often enough to have looked closely. In my case it cures itself. Might be worse in cold weather. If yours is constantly bad then it might really be a bad relay.

The relay is inside the hazard switch. S70 and V70 of the same years are the same. Easiest way to remove swwitch is to pop the radio out, reach in behind the switch, and puush it toward you, it should slide out easily.

Hi Bob,

Any idea what the switch costs?

Thanks,
Dave
