Can anyone tell me in advance what a Volvo dealer might bill in hours of labor to replace the PNP switch?

A nice and honest one would bill 1.5 hr, but some bill 3.

I guess I have me a dishonest tech. They just told me it will cost me $300 in labor to do the PNP switch. That does not include the part itself which is $150 from the dealer. Screwed again by the almighty dealer.

My independent mechanic charged $110 for the part and $120 or so for the labor. That's probably at the low end of the range people pay. The part looks like the original but I don't know if it was supplied by Volvo or not. It was 3 years ago.

$400 - $450 total was about what i paid for my pnp switch replacement, and since i usually pay about $1,000 for dealer work, i considered myself fortunate.
