passenger pwr seat V70-XC70 1999

Hi,backrest in passenger seat is not going up .I did't checked it yet,but there is no module [no memory ] so maybe backrest motor? any common issues,quick fixes?Thanks

motor or cable is broken...look and check. Not a seriously difficult repair if it's the cable. If it's the motor, a replacement is a few bucks but not if you can get one from www.erievovo.com or on line somewhere (like eBay). Good luck.

Thanks guys ,Itook it apart and looks like KlausC nailed it,motor,shaft and gear they all work properly ,after cleaning and WD 40 switch works both ways. Thanks again

If there is no noise when trying to move the seatback forward, but the motor works while reclining... I would suspect the switch is dirty.
If there is motor noise, then the cable in the seatback is no longer securely attached and needs to be modified or replaced.
