what to replace/clean on pvc system S70 2000

Hello, I have 00 s70 turbo and I have heard how important it is to have the pvc system serviced. Can I do this myself and if so what parts need to be replace or cleaned out.
thanks
Dennis

www.fcpgroton.com sells a kit for your car for about $140. You'll need separately an intake manifold gasket (cheap!).

Careful, MIJ. The last time I looked, that kit was for 1998 turbos only.

Oops...you're right. I would call them and see what they tell you. Some of the setup is different...but a lot is the same iirc.

Just got off the phone with fcp groton for my 2000 the kit is 200. That's with the intake tube, still waitig on a price w/o intake tube. Plust you'l need a manifold gasket.

Why do I need an intake manifold gasket. do I have to remove the manifold?

Yep...to get to the oil separator under the intake manifold you have to remove it. It's a pita trying to get some of the bolts loose. I suggest a long ratchet extender to get to the one under the passenger side that's hard to reach. Also be careful with the injector tips when you pull them off with the fuel rail.
