I have a 1995 950 Turbo wagon, automatic with 200.006 miles. It has been running great until about two weeks age when it started to slowly come to a stall. The car would start kind of chocking and then the engine would stop.
But it would restart without any delay and run okay for a minute or two and then the process would repeat itself.
In between it ran great. I took it to an independent shop specializing in foreign cars and asked them to take a look. After a test drive they said the problem was with the Turbo inter hose and the Turbo inter pipe. They were old and worn and collapsed under load. I okayed the repair and after about $400.00 they proudly said that the car was fine.
I drove the car out of the shop and within a half an hour it started acting up again. Next morning I took the car back to the shop, after an hour or so they found that the spark plugs were the wrong kind,"AC plugs that instead of the Volvo plugs", and there was a vacuum leak . After an other $155.19 I drove the car out of the shop and it soon began to behave the same way as before.
So now I am stuck and screwed and hope some one can come up with a solution for me, don't want to take it back to the shop and throw more money away. BTW, the shop supposedly check the fuel pump and ran a diagnostic scan and it showed no fault codes.
Thank you all in advance, Peter
