Possible ignition switch mechanical problem - Looking for good service in Buffalo NY area

My daughter told me that she had a problem with the ignition switch on her '95 855 base that has 145,000 miles on it.

When she shut the car off, the key would not return to the off position, it stopped about 1/8" before the proper position and she could not remove the key.

She was late for an appointment, so she left the key in the car. Later when she returned, she started the car and when she got home, the key acted normally.

I have watched this site and Volvospeed for several years, and I do not remember any posts about the mechanical part of the 850's ignition switch being a problem.

A search did not return any applicable posts.

Anyone?

Also, she is looking for a good place to get her car serviced near Lancaster NY which is near Buffalo.

Chris' 855 - Gayorg in Buffalo NY area

This should be a pic of her car

I guess that did not work

The listing in "cars" is -

If you select 850 in cars, the pic is just a few down on the first page.

BTW, the trim has been painted a sand color to match the interior. I brush painted it about 4 years ago, and the paint has held up real well. Just a few scratches on the rear bumper cover. I also painted the front grills silver to add a little bling to the front and to the R model front bumper

OOps, I guess it did work!
