Cooling Fan running backwards after installing radiator 850 1996

I just finished installing my new radiator. Went out on me last night as I was crossing the Canadian border. I was able to limp home the rest of the 5 miles. Anyways, after getting everything back in and plugged I took it for a test drive. The cooling fan is blowing air toward the enging instead of toward the radiator. I went back in and unplugged everything in that area and pulled the fan out to make sure I installed it the right direction. The blades are on the radiator side. The check engine light is also on. I don't understand what would cause the fan blades to run in the opposite direction. Or maybe I put something in the wrong way. Anybody have any ideas before I take it to the mechanic in the morning?

Justin

The fan is on the back (engine) side of the radiator and should be pulling air through the radiator into the engine compartment. From what you've said it sounds like it's doing the correct job.

Is working just fine 850 1996

the radiator fan SUCKS AIR IN to cool the coolant flowing thru the radiator.
