1997 10valve vs 20 valve which is better? 850

is there a big difference between the 2? how is the gas mileage between the 2? any problem that one has more than the other?

The 2 litre 10 valve gets better gas milage, but the 2.4L 20 valve gets you there sooner. Probably the same life span. The USA never gets good small engines :(

20 valve = more horsepower at the top end, 10 valve = more torque at the bottom end...

MPG...depends on your right foot....
