I put in Bilstein HDs last year--no spacers. Everything works fine

the big question.....does the cap fit flush to the mount?
thanks

Not quite when I put the cap into the mount, but considering the pressure put on it by the spring, I have no question it does fit flush now. At any rate, zero problems and a delightful improvement in handling...

when looking at strut from above the seat cap does not sit flush to the strut mount. that is why I think of using spacers.
thanks

There is space between the top X nut and the hole that the strut sticks out of if this is what you mean. It's suppose to be this way.

Look at the picture over on www.fcpgroton.com and see if it needs spacers. The TC struts tend to heighten the car's front just a hair. You really want to try to avoid adding more height. Since I had a mechanic do mine, I doubt that it got anything extra, unless there was already a plate on my OEM struts and it was reused.
