Vibration on Acceleration V70-XC70

Hi there! My 98 glt v70 has a slight vibration if I am easy on the accelerator. If I ease my way to 15 mph, the first few seconds have the vibration. It is not a shaking, just a vibration. I changed the right front motor mount because it needed it, but that is unrelated, cleaned out the throttle body an IAC motor, but that also wasnt related. Is this a normal thing on these?

One thing I have not done is flush the tranny fluid. Could this be it, the fluid is pretty dark. Thanks guys!!

Could be...but also check your other motor mounts...especially the top one that is connected under your hood right in front of the driver's side, in a cylinder shapped device coming off of the firewall.

One that mount, previous owner installed a burgundy colored polyurethane bushing. It seems slightly loose, is it normal to be able to shake the engine around and this mount shifts slightly? Do some brands of poly bushings differ? I have no idea what brand this one is. Thanks for your reply!

Polybushings are stiffer and the driver does suffer a bit more vibrations, but if it is loose, I'd say that's what you're feeling. It should be snug in there and not loose. Never seen a burgandy one. I had an IPD one for awhile but didn't like the vibration so went back to the black Volvo OEM one...much less feel from the shifting engine. Not that expensive and you can do it yourself...worth a try.

Hey thanks! I will try a new bushing. How long before the OEM mount fails? Thanks again.

Usually mine fail by 50K miles (some claim sooner)...my experience...but they aren't that expensive...just something I expect and something I replace. Others might give their own miles to failure.
