Fuel pump noise 850 1996

Hi guys,
My 1996 850 turned over but did not start. My mechanic told me that the fuel pump failed and replaced it. After that I started to hear an annoying hissing/buzzing sound which has been discussed in the forum occasionally. Since it's a new pump, I am not sure whether the sound is not an omen of serious problem. Mechanic told me that chaning a fuel pump in Volvo quite often resulted in those sounds which is not a problem technically. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry' but last time my fuel pump buzzed I got stranded two weeks later. But I kept on reseting the codes. Stupid me. He may be right. I don't think so. My opinion. See what Klaus says or Made in Japan. Watch for codes it will ultimately tell you.
