Intermitant electrical problems V70-XC70 2001

I'm a new Volvo owner having purchased the 2001 V70 about 6 months ago. It went out of waranty about 2 months ago and now I'm experiencing unusual intermitant electrical problems. All of these events happened at different times and were only temporary failures:

Drivers seat memory control failed to operate.
Sun roof control failed to operate.
Doors would not lock or unlock using the button in the door.
Gas cap door lock wouldn't unlock. Had to break the door to fuel up.
When the unlocked driver door was opened, the alarm went off.

All of these events returned to normal the next time the care was driven. Sounds like software problems, but all these events seem so unrelated. Have not gone to the dealer yet. Has anyone else had these types of problems?

Drycreeker, it's your battery! It is failing and the voltage is below specifications. On most modern cars, even a slight drop in voltage causes electronic modules to misbehave. You provided the crucial clue in your message: "All of these events returned to normal the next time the care was driven." Another hint: if the battery cables have any corrosion at all, I recommend you replace them with new stock Volvo ones. Car electrical problems are incredibly frustrating.

Thanks a bunch, BigGuy. I'll look into it first thing tomorrow.

Well, battery wasn't the problem. Checked out very good under load so guess I have to look elsewhere. Any more ideas?
