Help, what do I need to look at in a 850 850

Howdy guys
This is a change, generally I'm on the RWD board but starting today, This might be my board of choice. Today I'm going to go and look at a 97 850 with a manual transmission. It has 110k miles on it and has all the records. Now, I know everything there is to know about the 240, but the 850 is a different animal. What should I look for in this car? What are the Pros and Cons? I pretty sure the timing belt and has been changed and maybe the A/C. So what do you guys think?
Thanks,
Blake

You're probably not going to find a better 850 combination unless it's a turbo. Go for it!!!!

The biggest change will be to stop at an Autozone and get your diagnostic codes read, ALL of them. The work is more complex on the 850, but 97 is a good year. 110K is just about the right time for a timing belt.
Have fun learning to drive with an understeer!

Hi Blake,
Welcome to the FWD family. Instead of re-hashing for you what has been said here before (over and over), I give you this thread to read. Hope it helps.

I really wish that the Brickboard has a FAQ section with typical information that so many people ask for. Otherwise, I suppose the "search" function is your friend, but it is difficult to navigate here.

Good luck!
