intermittently stalling after shifting down out of 5th and braking 850 1995

Car runs excellent for 225,000 miles.. but just recently it just dies when down shifting from 5th but not all the time ... it will start up right away and runs just fine. Does anyone have any idea about this?

    Could be a dirty throttle body or plugged vacuum line. Remove and clean the throttle body and remove the flame trap plastic housing. There's a small vacuum hose connected to it and the port gets plugged with carbon. It may need to be drilled out. Check for a dirty air filter also.
