Update:

Considering I wanted to fish out whatever is causing this leak (because I really hope it's not anything major), I did a lot of looking around, using my endoscope camera (btw, I totally suggest buying one of those if you can get one)....and I noticed that there was a lot of pooling near the dipstick and right below the PCV.

And then I looked around and noticed that there was a lot coming down right from where my themostat was located. And then I looked at the themostat and I think that's a bit source for a lot of my leak. It would totally explain why it's coming from the front (? is that considered the front?) of the engine.

I wonder if the gasket i bought was a glorified POS.

It doesn't necessarily explain the dipstick issue though. I'll update when there is one.
