2007 V50 -- no fuel filter replacment? V50

The car was low, not very low on gas and it had about an 1/8 of a tank remaining.

Well it was early in the morning, my wife was late for a meeting and I may not have noticed the other codes. But I think there was only one code, a P0300.
It would be great if it was a code that pointed toward one cylinder and then I could go checking.

This car has something odd going on and for a while I'll get a P02187 and sometimes she can go several hundred miles without setting the code. My wife says she sees the 2187 code going off when she is heading uphill on a certain entrance ramp. A place where she is making a sharp turn going uphill and giving gas.

The car idles well, gas mileage is what is to be expected, acceleration is what is to be expected, etc.

The tank has a somewhat deformed neck. The flap, the one that the pump nozzle pushes in when inserted into the neck is crooked and doesn't close like you normally see in other cars. There is always a gap. Sometimes I think it has to do with the gas cap not being able to fully seal due to the gap. Another tank would be a very expensive replacement for trial and error.

I am fairly certain my scan tool said one code.
