If your car was maintained by a dealer. go and see them,
Get the records that you can and find out if they took care of the car recently.
If they are like my dealer they probably took good care of the car. We have driven over 500k miles and had only 3 breakdowns - alternator gave out at 215k and killed 740 battery in Michigan - bad starter at rest area 170K 855 - and stuck brake rotor 150k another 850.
If the owner did any rep[airs and maintenance regularly, the car should need nothing, although Klaus' recommendations are always appropriate.
