Bumper Advice Needed S90-V90 1997

The fastener on the front bumper that attaches it to the passenger fender has broken. Either I or someone else wacked it enough to break off the flange on the bumper side that slides into the guide attached to the bumper. According to the body shop there is no individual parts for the bumper so I'm faced with putting on an entire new bumper, painted etc. to the tune of $500+. I've looked, but not closely, at the fastener, but don't have any experience in working with these new bumpers. It's looks to me as thought the plastic piece that forms the flange could be removed and replacedbut have not tried I'll call a couple of parts/salvage places to find out what they have, and get under there this weekend.

Anyone have any advice and/or experience with this?
