1993 960 Wagon Intermittent noise from rear on a slow curve or roll. 900

Need help to identify if new drive shaft u-joints or rear axle bearings are in order. 960 1993 Wagon with 144K miles.

On occassion with increasing frequency, I'm hearing a slow click-click noise coming from the rear end/underside. I first noticed it when I pulled thru the curve at a McDonalds drive thru. The clicking is in relation to the speed. I heard it again when I pulled into the garage, again going slowly. I slpped the car into reverse and still had the sound. However at higher speeds it goes away or I just can't hear it. I checked for the usual stuff like rocks in the tires, and etc. It almost sounds like a binding and release noise.

Any advise is always appreciated

Ron from Detroit
