My car is getting a little jerky these days, and the last time it acted this way was when the points needed replacing. I was far from home and it was a cold winter's night and when it was all said and done, it cost me about $200 (for the tow, labour and parts) to get the $10 points replaced.
Not having done this before, do the points need to be adjusted or anything when I replace them? I also thought I might replace the cap, rotor, plugs and wires while I was at it. Plugs and wires are easy, but are there any adjustments that need to be made on the distributor cap when I change it? Thanks.
