24 hours to decatur

This is the reason I have always wanted a Volvo, the Volvo that I have is
One of few, 89 745 B234F M46 145,000 at purchase. Current mileage 175,000
10/10 I put the car on the road for a 1700 mile test drive, I took it in for Virginia state inspection when I got back from Fl. I actually completed the repairs while I was on vacation.

My latest trip to Decatur Tx. was 3900 miles in a week, 24 hours each way,
5 tanks of gas, got 300 miles out of 12.5 gal. @ 75/80 from coastal Va.

The best part is I got the Volvo for $300.00 and beside the trip to Tx. I have also made 5 trips to central Fl. thats a 12 hour trip 1700 mile ride.

I have one more trip to Fl. this year and start planing next years trips. I will have to put a timing belt on it every year, but it's worth it I got a perfect set of seats and belt retractors from pick n pull Ft.Worth.
Just about finished the stereo, had to take out the third seat to have room
for the amps. still have to install the capacitor and it will be on.

This car is just unbelieveable it loves the highway as much as I do, nothing like being out on the road. Don't matter where your going, just ride, kick up the tunes and watch the welcome centers go by. Don't need a map odd numbers run north and south and even numbers run east and west. Make a trip up skyline drive in the fall. thats only 700 or so, nice day trip, drive up the night before catch the sun comming up in the mountains. check out the foaliage have some good food and drive back home.
