Complete older overhauled engine available cheap

The years have passed since I was a Volvo buff and I find in my garage a complete engine which I overhauled with valve job, new rings and bearings etc.
Someone can use it in their antique. Can,t identify but it does'nt have a fuel rail but a remote pump and narrow tubes to the injectors.. $100 buys it.Please
tell me where to find the serial number to identify. It is in Hollywood,fl

After corresponding with the owner we discovered that this engine is not as old as assumed. It has an aluminum head so all you 240 people please take another look. It sounds like he is cleaning out his house and is willing to part with it free/gratis.

The motor type number is on the block on the left side above the dipstick.
Part of it is cast (at least "49") and some more digits follow. If you can
post the motor type number it will identify which engine it is. It will be of
the form "49XXXX", 6 digits in all. (There may be more than 6 but only the first
6 digits are the motor type.)
The numbers that are not cast are stamped into a rectangular
boss immediately following the cast numbers.
Also if you can post a few pics that will be helpful too.

It sounds like an electronic fuel injected engine (B20E) of the type used in certain 1800's and 140's from the mid-70's.

I cannot come from an antique Volvo, there aren't any. If it has fuel injection, it must be newer than 1969 and a 2 liter. The side of the engine, if the block is red, will have nice markings on it. You won't even need glasses to read it.

They you can post it in the classifieds, a freebe.
