Yes the ingition wire goes to + side of the coil, along with the red wire from the Crane unit. In my case the ignition wire goes first to a resistance ballast first and them to the coil, since my coil doesn't built-in resistance. You will have to do this too, unless you have built-in resistance on the coil.
