Poor cold engine driveability 700 1987

I am just a novice, but I would think that is is probably not the TPS simply because the switch is not likely to be temperature sensitive. Many other parts are. If you suspect the throttle switch, just change it yourself for about $45 rather than pay someone for that. It is fairly easy to reach and you only need an allen wrench to remove it. As I recall there is a gasket under it too.

Maybe some others will comment, but I would think the engine coolant temperature sensor might be the problem. You can read about that one in the FAQ.
