clunks real bad in reverse. 140-160

my drive line vibrates at high rpms. i thought it was the drive line being unbalenced. but the car clunks really loud in reverse. could it be the center suport. the u- joints and suspinsion bushings are fairly new, so they can be ruled out. how much give is a center suport sapossed to have? is there any thing else i should check? thanks
