G.M. Alternator problem 140-160

15.05 volts is pretty high. Normal charging voltage is 13.5 - 14.0.
If the battery were continually charged at 15 volts it will, among other things,
go dry, which will be the same as no charge/no battery.

Unless the welding is done on the electrical system, I am hard put to see
why the problem would be related to the welding. One thing that will help
avoid such problems is to put the welding ground as close to where the
welding is being done as possible and definitely NOT connected to any part of
the wiring.
