Fourth gear shift problem 700 1990

open the door and turn the key on. push the od button and listen for click coming from the trans. you may have to lean WAY out the door. if you don't hear it, then the wiring in the shifter or to the solenoid is shot or the relay has quit. the light on the dash doesn't always tell the truth. just 'cuz the relay turns the light off, doesn't mean the relay is working the solenoid, too. good luck, chuck.
