bgm,

having a similar problem with my 94 850, except mine will rev up to 1500-2000rpms while under load and drive me around without touching the gas pedal -scary. Have done some suggested tune up stuff, to no avail. It has been suggested that the cam (CMP) sensor may be the problem but still checking. Dan R has some suggestions I will tell my mechanic about as well. Will follow this thread and let you know of any progress... aslo a couple of similar problems identified in 850 forum..
