Harmonic balancer / timing position problem !!! 700 1986

Someone with more experience than I have will certainly reply, but it is not uncommon to have the harmonic balancer seperate like that. You need to replace it with a new one. Once they have slipped/moved it is a lost cause to resist replacing it. Congratulations on your excellant purchase. Don't be afraid to spend the money necessary to bring it back to a good condition.
