88 245 Rear Wiper Problems

I own a 1988 245 and the rear windshield wiper does not work properly. On intermittent it might move an inch or two on time, then a full sweep another, and if I use it on regular wiping when I turn it off it stops wherever it was when I hit the switch.

Any ideas???
