skip the pod, get a boost controller 700 1987

The #1 cheap & easy way to get more juice from your car is a manual boost controller. I installed one several weeks ago and have enjoyed it very much. Here's a thread on how it works, etc. Be sure to get a calibrated boost gauge, and make sure all your basic maintenance is up to snuff before you raise the boost.

As for the pod/cone air filter... Volvo's turbo airboxes apparently flow very well. I've not used a cone filter, but my guess is that unless you install the cone with a proper heat shield, it will not do much for performance... but it will look cool, and you'll hear you turbo noises quite a bit more, and your wallet will be more aerodynamic.
