SRS fault code #5 700 1990

It is more than likely a connector, but it's hard to say either which one or where.

Often this is seen as a result of voltage irregularities during jumpstarting or dead battery, or changing the battery. I don't know why it creates a "5" but it does. I think this is the airbag module code, and perhaps cleaning the connector to the column unit (the main connector in the center console unit) might help significantly. It could even have something to do with battery connections or grounds.
