What else to do? (long message) 200

I don't want to make this problem more complicated, but I seem to remember on early (late 70s and early 80s - no 240 experience past 85) 240s that there was a certain order to bleeding the system. I think it was determined by Volvo's redundant system using 1 piston each from each front caliper and 1 rear to simulate 2 systems in one car.
Would this apply here? (BTW, my vote is a defective MC.)
