Posted same request on reply to a previous post but not sure if done correctly. Nonetheless, for a 1988 240, I just bought a replacement speedo cluster. Just to be sure, I would like confirmation from Board members as to hook up. The 2 multi-pin connections are self evident. The connection right behind the speedo (connector at wire end is female with 3 pairs of opposing contacts inside) seems to be straightforward and only goes in one way. The biggies: 3 wires remaining. I believe red/white wire is left unconnected as I have no tach (but will cover end with black tape), the blue wire is connected to the "U" shaped connection to left of the back of speedo (looking at back) and the red/yellow goes to bottom left (when viewed from back of cluster).

Please advise if this is not right. All help very much appreciated. Although new posting here, this seems to be a great forum.
